Hellos people, I know it is really late for today... but still at least i updated! So here's the update on...
2B 140307 GATHERING AT THE NIGHT SAFARI
Attendence : 16 people. -Aisyah, Yan Ni, Danielle, Doreen, Stella, Thai Yeng, Gin, Calvin, Eric, Jun Liang, Esmond, Daryl, Yong Ting, Cheung Weng, Ding Xiong& Zheng Chuan
We all meet up at CCK MRT at about 5.45, then it was raining (bad sign...) and since the guys haven't had dinner, it was decided that they should go for dinner first... While the girls just hang around the mall for a little i think... Then at about 6 plus... the girls went to look for the guys outside Long John Sliver... We found the guys (at least some...) the taller guys were missing some of the shorter ones went to look for the taller ones and Aisyah say this (or at least smth like tat...) " The Tall ones get lost but the short ones don't." Lols.
cause usually if you are tall people can spot you easily you see... Then after some time the tall guys came out from the gents and we could not find the shorter ones... but after some more time... we finally are back together as a group of 16... so we happily went to the interchange and board the bus 927... Then we all chitchat with each other and i realised that more than 1/2 the ppl on the bus are 2Bians... lols ...
After about 15 minutes, we reached the NIGHT SAFARI!!! YAY! So we walked and we past by many er.. open flames on a stand.. and some of the guys actually felt tempted to put their finger there but luckily nobody did so... After some walking we reach the main area where we could get our tickets and where souvenirs and food are sold... So we gathered round and we realised we only had 50% coupons for 15 people when there are actually 16 of us. So we decided that we would each pay a little more than 10 to cover for the person (whoever tat maybe...) who needs to pay full price... each person paid about 10.60... cause if you do your maths 20 cannot be evenly divided by 16... so in the end AISYAH paid the remaining. THANKS AISYAH!! After that we each paid and went to get the tickets. The Auntie (who was very nice) say that she could give us maps and Eric who is very environmental friendly told the auntie we do not need that much, we very environmental friendly de... Nevertheless, we still took 16 sets... lols. =P
Then we headed for the enterance and we realised that the trail was not actually ready so if we want to, we could actually wait for about 5 to 10 minutes and we did. Some went to watch the show while some just went and sit around. Then, it was time to go in. Some animals we saw on the way was the deer, crocodile, bats, many types of birds, lions.... many animals, some of which only some of us with better eyesight could see and these people very kindly tried their best to point them out to the others who did not have such good eyesight in the night. THANKS PEOPLE!!!
After all that walking, we took a break and went to the canteen to have a seat, some of us bought food, drinks from there while others went to the toilet. It was decided that we would sit the tram (ticket price $4 from there...) after we see the giffraes. So we saw them some other animal. Then headed to get the tickets for the tram. Everyone paid for bucks and we paid the lady and got our tickets. The lady was very kind to let us all 16 go on the same tram.
So in the tram we travelled from Africa to Malaysia then to North America (i think) and saw the animals which are really close to us... The naturalist( i think is called that) explained some stuff about these animals to us and told us about the deforestation and we should carry out the 3Rs - Reduce , Reuse, Recycle. We were told about no flashes or lights on the tram and then reminded again specifically the back tram about that. Lols.
Then after that tram ride, we went to walk the suspension bridge where Esmond and Jun Liang had fun trying to shake it as much as possible. Lols. We walked and walked then realised we had to turn back, and again they tried to shake it this time even worst...
After that walk, we went to an area where if you crossed the gate, it would be the main area and its kind of like the exit... Then Dorreen, Thai Yeng, Yong Ting and Cheung Weng left first... Then we went out to the main area after getting stamped on the hand so we can come back later to watch the Animal Show. We went to a shop with loads of soft toys... then we played with them. Then we went into a glow into the dark shop, where even if your clothes are not luminous, they will glow. It really makes our accessories and shirts look nice. Lol.
Then after that, some went to the restroom and it was time to head back for the Animal Show, we had to queue early if not we will not be able to get sits. So we went and there was a photographer there and he took our picture for us and we could buy them after the show. So we chatted while we waited... waited for about 20 minutes i think... then at about 10 we went into the theatre and we sat at the 3rd and 4th row. After some instructions that there was not suppose to be lights and that we have to remain seated, the show started. The emecee was really funny by the way. Then we saw animals like the snake and an owl which looks a little like Harry Potter's owl - Hedwig. Then there were also the recycling animals who had to recycle the materials and the emcee told us the importance of the 3Rs. There is also an animal which could jump like real high. A cat i think... Also, the one which has a keen sense of smell. and took the grape from a little boy. And the Swedish guy who did what i call a dazzling smile instead of the macho one he was asked to do. Lols. In overall, the show was funny.
After the show, we went to collect our pictures and we bought 2 for $20 after thinking for a long while. ( we very thrifty one... think before spending and do not act on impulsivity. =P lols.) Then we split the cost between the 12 of us.
Then on our way out, we took some pictures as a group of 12. Then we headed for the bus stop where we chit chatted again... Then finally when the last bus arrived we on went aboard and took our seats... Then very quickly we arrived back at lot one and alighted at the stop opposite the 7- eleven. Danielle went on to catch the lrt home while the others went to 7-eleven, after buying everything, we loitered there for awhile, the guys finishing their drinks, the girls waiting for a ride. Then my brother came and picked the girls up and then we left the guys still there. Have no idea they stayed for how much longer. lols.
Okays. so thats practically the end. I think it is really LOOONG... Sorry about that... Sorry also cause i am bad with names and i can't really remember the names of the animals we saw... lols. Nevertheless, i really enjoyed my time there and i believe the other have to! ^^.
